Supplementary oils
Solvents can be used as a binder for the underpainting, the preparatory work of a piece. They produce a diluted color, just enough to lay the foundation of the hues, and also help the adhesion between the next paint layer and the support. Mediums are additives that allow you to adapt and personalize a painting by modifying the texture of the paint without significantly changing its appearance.
We always emphasize the rule of fat over lean, and never the opposite. Varnishes provide essential protection for the preservation of any artwork and slow down the aging process of oil paints.
